Weerd Sciene is Josh Eppard, the drummer for Coheed & Cambria, who likes to play music also when he is not on tour with his first band. Differently from CO&CA, Josh does not play rock with Weerd Science. This band is in fact a hip-hop combo where you will be able to hear anything from rap, to hiphop, to rhymes, and so much more. The great thing about the disc are not just the song titles, but also the lyrics, which are funny, clever, yet caustic and brutal. Songs like “Fuck You And Your Filthy A&R Dept.”, “God Bless Pepsi” and “Girl, Your Baby’s Worm Food” show how Josh deals with anything from personal relationship to the world of major labels, to the brutal details of terrorism and relationships gone astray. Weerd Science is not your average hardcore punk band on EVR, so you might discover new sounds and listen to hiphop for the first time ever with this disc, but if you ever enjoyed Atom & His Package, Reggie And The Full Effect and even MC Lars, you will surely be glad with Weerd Science, too.
