Lyrics
The Devil in Stitches Lyrics
Hey angels fall down without warning
Cherry lipstick on their teeth and all dangerous curves
She had a bullet proof mind and big pawn shop eyes
And nothing you could say would get to her
So don’t look homeward angel from that rumble seat
I can strum twice and make it all go away
We’ll tap every last drop until that beating stops
And let the devil come join us dancing
Across the yellow sun
We’ll run
Because the devil in stitches only has his fun
Performing for the chosen one
We can run
She was living on the edge of a knife
His head was filled with restless ghosts
It’s so easy to love a bringer of destruction
She said darling “I love you madly”
Black tear stained cheeks behind her shattered window
Prayin’ for a song to save her life
I had a paperback crime running straight down my spine
And let the devil come join us dancing
Across the yellow sun
We’ll run
while devil in stitches goes and has his fun
Performing for the chosen one
We can run
Wild in the street like a formal procession of love and deceit
I will carry you home like a bride from the wreckage
Here’s your punch drunk cupid knocked clean out of his senses
I know he drove her out out to the brink
That’s where they stood and looked down
Right then he made a decision
That’s where they made a division
Declaring war on the weather
A reckless pact with forever
So come on and sing
Sing hallelujah
Right now

NOFX – The Longest EP
While waiting to release a new album (of which there is no news yet), NOFX are teasing their fans with the second release filled with rare, b-sides and previously unreleased songs – after the compilation “45 or 46 Songs That Weren’t Good Enough to Go on Our Other Records”.
“The Longest EP” is filled with tracks from various NOFX EP’s that will go soon out of print, including “The Longest Line”, “Never Trust A Hippy” and “Regaining Unconsciousness” among others, so the hardcore NOFX fans will not probably find anything new on this. Nevertheless, this compilation has got some outstanding tracks as “The Death Of John Smith” and all the other “The Longest Line” songs and a few other rare tunes as the classic show opener “Glass War” and “Jaw Knee Music”, which has got some of the best guitar riffs ever. “Everything in Moderation (Especially Moderation)” is another amazing tune, with great Fat Mike’s lyrics, but some of the finest stuff comes from the early NOFX recordings, as the “S&M Airlines” version taken from the Drowning Roses split and all of the “The P.M.R.C. Can Suck on This” seven inch.
A few NOFX rare tracks still miss from this (and the previous) compilation: “The Fastest Longest Line” and “Open Your Eyes”, among others. But this is the perfect time and money saver if you don’t want to collect all the single EP’s and would rather have all the best rare NOFX songs on one single album.

The Candy Snatchers to release final album – Down at Delilah’s

The new and final release by the Candy Snatchers ‘Down at Delilahs’ will be released this month (June 15th) on Drug Front Records. Available in CD, digital, and hand-numbered limited edition picture disc, Down at Delilah’s features 14 snotty, alcohol-fueled tracks of bluesy punk rock. This is the record Candy Snatchers fans have been waiting for. Recorded in 2008 and helmed by longtime pro- ducer, Dean Rispler (MiniBoone, Bad Wizard), the album is the last recording by guitarist and band co-founder Matthew Odietus, who passed away shortly after the record was completed.
Once known as “The Most Dangerous Band In The World,” the long-running punk troubadours were famous for their reckless abandon. Live, the band was often busy cutting themselves with broken bottles and lighting their instruments on fire. Yet somehow, the band still managed to play amazingly well, garnering comparisons to punk rock greats like The Dead Boys, GG Allen, and The Misfits.
Hot Water Music releases new album Redemption
No Idea Records had just released a new studio album from Hot Water Music. Entitled Redemption, the record marks the band’s return to their original hometown label after years at Epitaph Records.
Owner Var Thelin had this to say about the release and HWM returning to their former home:
“Twelve new songs, recorded in 2010 at the new Stresstudio in Gainesville, Florida. Redemption shows a return to form for HWM; dual palm-muting, anthemic choruses, and the rhythm section is showboating harder than “Fuel for the Hate Game.” The tempos are up, the energy is scorching, and nary a delay pedal is to be heard. 12 songs, 27 minutes. This is the record you have been waiting for!”
Long time drummer and recently added member to Against Me! George Rebelo plays drums on side A while Against Me!’s previous drummer and current taco shack owner Warren Oakes plays drums on side B.
This will be the band’s first studio album recorded for the label since Fuel for The Hate Game was released 13 years ago. No Idea recently re-released several HWM albums including classics Forever and Counting, No Division, The New What Next, Caution, A Flight and a Crash, and double-LP collection Till the Wheels Fall Off.
The band will be performing at this year’s annual Punk Rock Bowling, hosted by BYO Records, as well as a summer tour of Europe.
