This is the 3rd release by the Rock and Roll duo. This album is as catchy as it is gutsy. Oh No Not Stereo are a prime example of a DIY group that can grow in fame and popularity while still “controlling” and creating their music and doing it their own way. The DIY ethics of this band really show with this new album while still having a great sound quality (which is in stereo by the way) and high production values which are not normally found in independent do it yourself releases.
| There is alot to say about a band that is as involved as Oh No Not Stereo in the production of their music. And even though they have achieved such things as having their music featured on MTV the duo still handle everything dealing with their music from writing and preforming their music to producing and releasing and even taking the time to personally write and thank those who help promote their music. With each album I have reviewed by Oh No Not Stereo they have included some type of personally written letter which compared to the standard generic press pack most bands send out really shows how dedicated these guys are to their music. For me being one of the few bands to really take the time so show thanks really stands out above what is happening in the music industry these days. As for the Album 003 is better then the previous. I can really see this album leading the way for rock and roll for the next several years with many copycats trying to recreate the sound but most likely failing in the areas that as a band these two are able to stand out and shine. | |
