Cold Sweat “Severed Ties”

Cold Sweat Severed Ties
“Severed Ties” Starts off as a fast noiesy track “Fuck the Flock”. The song starts off as simply fast and chaotic but towards the end just breaks out into a noisy chaos and sounds more like a jam band then a real release. I don’t know if I have had too many bad experiences in Seattle with “Jam Bands” but this seems to be a pretty popular thing with bands to do in this area.

Now I am not saying these guys are a “Jam Band”. This isn’t the case what so ever. But there are a number of songs (specifially Kept In Chains) where the band just loses it and start putting out noise. There are some damn great songs on this LP though! Kicking and Screaming” starts off the B side with some bad ass lyrics and a great sound and was the best choice to start off with.

From my understanding “Cold Sweat” are no longer together and have start off on different project with the vocalist moving to the band “repercussions” and the other members in Walls.
