agonist_lullabies_for_the_dormant_mind_coverLullabies for the Dorment Mind is fast, angry, a bit disturbing with amazing female vocals and growling back vocals. And I love it. Metal sounds so different when you throw in a lead female vocalist and after hearing The Agonist I don’t see why there are not more female metal bands.

Not only are the female vocals as stunning as the lead singer her self (Alissa White-Gluz) the bands ability to play fact technical chaotic riffs. The bands technical ability with vocals, lyrics and obviously their instruments are better then most metal bands around that I have heard. No disrespect to other metal bands there going to be dealing with some competition and a lot of catchup when compared to The Agonist.

There are simply not enough female vocalists in metal bands which should be a good enough reason to pick this album up. I will say it right now that this will most likely be the best metal album of the year that I will be reviewing depending on what the new decide album sounds like.
