Bernays Propaganda Happiness Machines

Moonlee Records is by far my favorite label these days as every album they have sent me has been a treat. I simply do not get enough albums from far and removed countries in Europe that many of us Americans haven’t even heard of let alone the musicians from them. So when ever I get something in the mail it takes me hours before I get a chance to absorb the album it and write a review about it.

Bernays Propaganda did not disappoint in the least. The lead singer (Kristina Gorovska) vocals have a stunning and dreamy affect that makes the fact that I can’t understand the lyrics (which are Slavic I would guess) totally irrelevant.
The bands post punk / new wave sound is very refreshing and at first kind of uplifting until you read the lyrics sheet which is thankfully in English. Bernays Propaganda members are in a number of ther bands which for the life of me I haven’t heard of so I am unsure which are side projects or which ones are very big in their side of the world. Various members (from what I have gathered) are also in FxPxOx, Suns, SmartXBomb, This Home is Prepared, Demoncrats, Choice of my Own, Backstab Warning, Boombyx, New Police State, Treta smena, Tk,sk.
If you are interested in bands ouside of the US, don’t have a problem with vocals in a different language and love female vocals then you need to check out Burnays Propaganda, or anything on Moonlee records. This is one band I will be trying too interview in the next few months. Included with the album is a 30 page essay on violence and the human society which is also written by the lead singer Kristina which was an amazing read compared to most of the American crap I have been reading these last few months.
