My Big Beautiful new album “the way things are” is the 2^nd full length album put out by the band since they reunited in 2003.  The band had previously broken up in 1996 with the vocalist moving onto other projects for nearly 7 years. Prior to this the band had been formed in 1993 when they had put out one other full length album.

The way things are is a pretty cool album with kick ass lyrics with  poppy and sometimes aggressive sounds and style.  This band isn’t your traditional pop punk band.  They have a more traditional early 90’s pop punk meets rock sound which is nice with so much pop punk sounding the same with different song titles.

Check these guys out if you’re a traditionalist that enjoys great sounding music.  If you trip on your baggy pants or wear your hat tilted to the side you won’t enjoy this album, but then again you most likely don’t enjoy good music to begin with.
