Formed in 1999 in Columbia, South Carolina, Burns Out Bright is a four piece rock band that puts all of the inspiration in the music they write. After a couple of independent released EP’s and a split album, the band’s six song debut EP on Deep Elm Records is a collection of inspired music, intense guitar chords, meaningful lyrics and infection rock songs. Tough, “Distance And Darkness” is a hard to label record: at times you might say the band plays some hardcore tracks, while at some other times it’s all about just rock. The lyrics are deep, sincere and about personal expiriences that you can easily relate to, at least this is what happened with me. The best chords and melodies come on “Crowded Streets, Empty Skies”, “Twenty Two” and “Our Proudest Moment”, with some very catchy guitar riffs.
