It’s complicated being a wizard

Monday, May 7th, 2007

A very interesting conceptual album bringing a unique twist on how we can listen to music. Each track of the album following the first is a loop of the original 23 minute song giving these tracks a very artistic style similar to an painter creating many similar but different painting from a single subject matter.

This album is the first of many expected releases following a similar idea to this style.  If you like artistic and creative style to your music then you will really enjoy this album.

Sex for safety

Monday, May 7th, 2007

Release date: March 27th 2007

The inevitable backlash includes members from prestigious bands like Rollins band (Jason Mackenroth) and Saccharine and Trust (Chris Stein). Thankfully John Renton brings a fresh sound to this band and not some regulated crap like I was expecting when I first received this album.

This totally analog album have a soft and all most live sound though the album.  Because of this and the amazing recording job by Steve Albini (the pixies, Nirvana) the Guitars just flair and rock very hard.

Sex for safety (the song) really shows off the abilities of this band.  I really wish there were more tracks available on the demo I received because this song really leaves me wanting to hear what else this band is going to surprise me with.

Chris Stein: Bass
