The misfits are one of the most well known horror punk bands around. The band formed in 1977 with Glenn Danzig as the lead singer and song writer. Jerry Only joined up with the misfits later on as the bassist (and now current lead singer).

The band spans between different genres of punk rock as well as heavy metal though the years with have always had a horror and 50’s style sound. The band lasted until 1983 with Glen Danzig as the lead singer and was finally brought back in 1995 after nearly 12 years of legal battles with Jerry Only taking over as lead singer.

Even today you can still hear the influence the Misfits have on music as new horror punk and psychobilly bands come around with a style still unmatched by misfits songs written over 30 years ago.
